Our People to Live Stronger & Longer

Deadly Doctors

The Public Health Team at AH&MRC acknowledges the vital contribution of doctors working within Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) in delivering high-quality, culturally safe primary health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

We are committed to supporting and inspiring medical practitioners to pursue careers within the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector by providing education, professional development and clinical guidance that strengthens culturally responsive practice.

The Deadly Doctors Network

AH&MRC’s Public Health Team supports doctors through the Deadly Doctors network — a professional community designed to foster peer connection, shared learning and access to relevant clinical and public health updates.

The network also provides opportunities for doctors working in the sector to come together to discuss critical issues, emerging priorities and challenges impacting Aboriginal health and the broader ACCHO sector.
