In April 2019 the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council (AH&MRC) established the AH&MRC Aboriginal Research Capacity Building Initiative. This Initiative aims to build on what we have achieved over thirty years at the AH&MRC Ethics Committee; and our impactful, Aboriginal-led health and well-being projects and advocacy.

The AH&MRC are committed to:

• Building Aboriginal research, and research management workforce
• Building AH&MRC members research leadership and management capabilities
• Supporting research that is designed, managed, and controlled by Aboriginal people
