Board Governance

Background – Board Governance is a Governance Support Program created by the AH&MRC and funded by the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) to strengthen and support NSW ACCHSs in Board Governance.

Objectives/Outcomes – In collaboration with NACCHO, the AH&MRC has developed an ongoing Governance Support Program that provides vital support services to our Board of Directors as well as CEOs and staff of our Member Services. The AH&MRC offer the following:

• Inhouse governance & finance workshops
• Expert advice from industry consultants
• Assistance for CEOs & staff
• Support in Board Governance
• Constitution/rule book reviews & writing
• Assistance in board financial fundamentals
• Ongoing consultancy services and point of call contact for expert advice
• Mentoring services to facilitate service governance
