My Health Record Storybooks launched
The Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council of New South Wales (AH&MRC) are proud to launch our My Health Record Storybooks which were designed alongside the Australian Digital Health Agency.
My Health Record is an online summary of your health information. Right now, your health information is in different places, My Health Record helps you keep track of your health information, securely in one place.
“The My Health Record Storybooks aim to provide the key information to the community about what the My Health Record is, privacy levels in the My Health Record system, who can access your My Health Record, how you can access your My Health Record and who is in control of your My Health Record.” says Dean Wright, Data Management Officer at AH&MRC.
To engage with the wider community, the storybooks were split using 3 different Aboriginal artists developing 3 different artworks.
- Adult (Blue, artwork designed by Dalmarri)
- Parents/Carers/Guardians (Green, artwork designed by Carissa Paglino)
- Youth (Yellow, artwork designed by Lakkari Pitt)
“We are delighted to provide a creative resource that will inform our community about the My Health Record and answer any questions or concerns the community has about the system.” Mr Wright concluded.
