Selection Criteria
Essential:
Extensive knowledge and experience in Medicare and MBS item claiming.
- Strong understanding of Medicare legislation, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in providing training and support to staff on Medicare related functions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, problem solving abilities and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams
Desirable:
- Experience working in an Aboriginal health service or community health setting.
- Understanding of the health needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Knowledge of Communicare.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement in Medicare processes.
- Commitment to providing high-quality health services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to undergo a criminal history check.
- Current Working with Children Check
- Commitment to cultural safety and awareness
