The Practice

Ungooroo GP & Health Services is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation
(ACCHO) general practice that is committed to promoting wellness and chronic disease prevention. We are nationally accredited through AGPAL and endorsed through AH&MRC and NACCHO.

We currently have 1 Aboriginal Health Practitioner; 2 registered nurses and qualified immunisers and we provide our own pathology. We have been endorsed as an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) since 2016 and just completed a national accreditation as a General Practice through AGAPL for 2024.

We are accredited with training bodies such as RACGP and Accrum and provide clinical supervised training to registrars. We are in the Singleton Centre and offer 10 consultation rooms for GP’s and clinical staff. We are located directly opposite ALTO Radiology of which provides bulk-billing radiology and has an MRI.

We strive to provide a holistic approach to healthcare, utilising our partnership with Rural Doctors Network to provide allied health services such as Physiotherapy, Psychology, Speech, Diabetes workshops, Audiology, Optometry and Mental Health workers.

Ungooroo also has partnered with the Primary Health Network to provide the Integrated Team Care (ITC) program which supports Aboriginal patients with complex chronic diseases. This program is supported and coordinated by a Registered Nurse and Outreach worker.

The Opportunity

Due to increased community demand and expanding our services, we are seeking several part-time fellowed GP’s to work in our Singleton General Practice 1 to 3 days per week and we are very flexible as to whatever days are preferred. We will also consider General Registration GP’s who are working towards fellowship. GP’s who have supervisory qualifications we would strongly encourage to apply.
