About the role
This is an exciting full time or part time opportunity as a Dentist with Katungul Aboriginal Corporation Regional Health and Community Services in the beautiful coastal town of Narooma, NSW. You will play a vital role in providing high quality dental care and treatment to the local Indigenous community.
What you’ll be doing
- Conducting dental examinations and treatments to maintain and improve the oral health of patients
- Developing and implementing tailored treatments plans to address the unique dental needs of each patient
- Providing preventative dental care, including cleanings, fillings and other procedures
- Educating patients on proper oral hygiene and dental health
- Collaborating with the broader healthcare team to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care
- Maintaining detailed patient records and documentation
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of dental services and the patient experience
What we’re looking for
- Be of Aboriginal and/or Torries Strait Islander descent (desirable)
- Registered Dentist with a current Australian Dental Board registration
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a clinical dental setting
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high quality, patient-centred care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and the healthcare team
- Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team environment
- Passion for improving the oral health of the local Indigenous community
