Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service- Aboriginal Corporation (TAMS-AC) is recruiting to an Aboriginal Tobacco, Alcohol and other Drugs Worker based in Quirindi and servicing surrounding areas of Werris Creek and Walhallow

About us

TAMS-AC is the leading provider of a comprehensive range of culturally appropriate primary healthcare services to enhance the health and emotional well-being of the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal community of Tamworth and surrounding districts. TAMS-AC is an Aboriginal community-controlled health service on the land of the Gomeroi people, based in Tamworth NSW. TAMS-AC has successfully delivered culturally appropriate primary healthcare services for First Nations People for close to 30 years. In addition to primary healthcare and day to day health services provided by a large multidisciplinary team, TAMS-AC coordinates access to a range of visiting specialist services and community programs.

Qualifications & experience

  • a) At a minimum, AOD workers must have completed/working towards a Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs
  • b) Other relevant qualifications including Certificate III in Community Services
  • c) Have a connection to the Aboriginal community
