We are currently looking for Aboriginal Health Practitioners to join our Mount Druitt Clinic Teams.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Provide culturally appropriate health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Conduct health assessments and screenings.
- Provide health education and promotion to individuals and groups.
- Advocate for the health needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities.
Essential Criteria:
- Aboriginality.
- Certificate IV Aboriginal Primary Health Care Practice
- Demonstrated experience in providing health services to Aboriginal people in the community and/or primary health care nursing.
- Proven ability to work well within a service team.
- Demonstrated experience of working independently and/or showing initiative in relation to patient care.
- Knowledge and understanding of the issues that impact on Aboriginal people and Aboriginal communities.
- Understanding and knowledge of specialist medical, allied health and support services locally.
- A Current National Police Check.
- A Current Working With Childrens Check NSW.
- Current Driver’s License that allows you to drive in Australia.
- COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster information (or evidence of a valid medical exemption).
- Immunisation records.
