Aboriginal Loss and Grief Workshop – Wagga Wagga
Category: Past Events
AH&MRC have engaged Rosemary Wanganeen, Aboriginal Griefologist, Counsellor and Consultant to deliver her 3-day face-to-face workshop. As a Griefologist she brings over 30-years of personal and professional experiences.
Loss and grief are significant missing links to the cause and effects of mental health challenges escalating into mental illnesses across Aboriginal communities. You will learn how intergenerational suppressed unresolved grief has compounded and complicated contemporary Aboriginal people’s lives and is particularly relevant to understanding self-harm and suicide prevention. Informed by the Seven Phases to Integrating Loss and Grief© model, this workshop will equip you and inspire you with intellectual knowledge, emotional understanding, and practical skills.
This event has been created for SEWB and AOD workers. The workshop will help workers to understand their clients and assist them in managing grief and loss.
AH&MRC will cover the cost of
- The Workshop
- 3 nights’ accommodation (night before and check out on last day of the workshop)
- Catering during workshop hours
